Parmesan Basil French Bread

We all want meals that we can put on the table quickly and yet still have it taste like we spent a lot of time on it. This is an easy way to jazz up store bought french bread for any meal.

INGREDIENTS:
Can of French Bread Dough
4 TB Butter
2 tp Dried Basil
Parmesan Cheese

Melt the butter and mix it with the dried basil. Place the loaf of french bread on a baking sheet. Brush half the basil butter onto the loaf and place in an oven heated to the specifications on the can.

Halfway through the recommended cooking time, remove the pan and apply the remaining butter. Sprinkle on the Parmesan cheese. I don’t measure, I just sprinkle till it won’t stay on anymore. If you are using the kind from a can you will get more on than if you have shredded cheese. In this case I am using shredded cheese. When the bread is finished, remove it from the oven and let it set for a couple minutes before slicing.

When you slice, do so at an angle and with a proper bread knife so it won’t smoosh the bread down.
