Knife Skills Checklist

Our Troop requires that in order to carry a knife you must attend a knife class. Once we have gone over proper care and handling of a pocket knife, the girls take a test. They must be able to safely carve a bar of soap, clean the knife and then pass a written test. If they pass the test they receive a card. If at any time they are caught misusing a knife a corner is ripped off. Once all 4 corners have been torn off, they must retake the class in order to carry a knife again.

About keepingiteasyandsimple

I have been married for 20 years and have 3 children. My oldest is 20 and currently in the National Guard. My daughters are 15 and 11 and involved in everything. I believe life is difficult enough, that we can find ways to make the everyday just a little easier and perhaps even more simple. I love to cook, shop and make things with the kids.
