I am a wife and a mother, that is always how I describe myself when asked. Yet I have other aspects of myself I am proud of as well! I grew up with 3 siblings and a single mother who was a waitress so we depended on tips to buy what was needed. Often that meant my mother had to make a little money stretch a long way. I have always tried to follow that example, and approach life as simply and easy as I can. Life can be complicated enough, but there are things within my control that don’t have to be. I write this blog because I want to share what I have learned along the way, and hopefully learn some more from my readers.

I have been married for 20 years and have 3 great children. My oldest is serving in the National Guard and I have 2 girls at home. I love to read, craft, cook and have absolutely no artistic ability. So grab a cup of hot chocolate, pull up a chair, try some new ideas and have some fun along the way.

  1. I’m a working mom of a two girls–a 9 year old and a 7 year old. My 9 year old is starting her 5th year of girl scouts and my 7 year old is starting her 3rd. I am their troop leader. I’ve started a new troop. It is multilevel and currently has only 5 members. Your website is giving me so many ideas of how to incorporate crafts and projects for different levels without going insane. I needed that so much. Thank you.,

    • Multi-level Troops are different, but once you get used to how to make things works, it becomes second nature. Sometimes crafts need to be different because some are too hard for the you get girls.that is okay! I just try to make them similar so I am not taking a ton of supplies with me.
